Beginner Sashiko Workshop Thursday, July 25th, 1-4p
Have you ever wanted to learn Sashiko Embroidery? This incredible technique was invented in northern Japan out of the need for repair as well as to strengthening work clothes and home goods. Sashiko means ‘little stab’ or ‘little pierce’ in Japanese and is a beautiful way to create designs with stitches! In this class you’ll learn the foundations to Sashiko stitching: equipment and tools for getting going and the basic techniques for Sashiko embroidery.
Materials will be provided for you in the workshop.
